The closure of two outlets of a well known restaurant due to a chicken shortage has sparked concern that the problem may be widespread.
However officials are saying that is not the case.
In a notice posted on its Facebook page Chicken Barn said its Bay Street and Worthing restaurants would be closed today due to a chicken shortage, but its other locations would be open.
Some interpreted the message to mean that chicken is scarce in Barbados.
However Chief Executive Officer of the Barbados Agricultural Society James Paul says the poultry problem may be restricted to that business.
