The Centre for Disease Control has issued a travel advisory against Barbados for the Oropouche virus.

It came out on December 19 and is at level 1.

The notice cautions visitors against mosquitoes and says the case count is low.

Barbados and other Central American countries are on the list.

The island was last reported to have two cases of the virus which is also spread by sandflies.
