The Barbados Society of Psychology has suggested Barbadians post-COVID have been warming up to seeking help from psychologists.
President Ronald Pope says despite reservations by some due to the stigma associated with mental health, more people have turned to psychologists and other specialists.
With Psychology Week upcoming, Mr. Pope says the theme “Promoting Mental Health for Community Peace and Wellness” was selected after assessing the current state of affairs in Barbados.
The week will be observed from November 3 to 9.
