The use of free public wifi could be dangerous.
The revelation came from IT Officer at the Public Workers Cooperative Credit Union, Wendell Hall at the recently-held Digital Banking Drive at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre.
He said its use poses serious risks for online banking.
CIBC’s Cyber Security Manager Sheldon Layne told the meeting too much caution cannot be exercised when using online banking.
He said banks will never make online requests.
