A competition aimed at developing young people is expanding its reach this year.
The Essay Competition in honour of late Barbadian Olympian Pearson Jordan, is now open to all children attending primary and secondary schools in St. Peter.
Before, it had been open to students of the Roland Edwards Primary School.
CBC spoke with coordinator of the Essay Competition and member of the St. Peter Parish Organising Committee, Sherryl Griffith.
She says prizes will be awarded for the best submissions on November 24, to coincide with a Road Race in Mr. Jordan’s honour.
