While the Merchant Shipping Bill, 2024 focuses on vessels above 150 gross tonnes, Opposition Leader Ralph Thorne centred his contribution to the Debate on the local fishing industry.
He’s maintaining his position that Government must accept responsibility for the damaged and destroyed boats which were moored at the Bridgetown Fisheries Complex.
Mr. Thorne also commented on plans by the Government to create a bank account to assist Cuba, which is experiencing nationwide blackouts.
