Over 20 youth cricket clubs and some secondary and primary schools recently received a number of cricket kits to aid in the continued development of the young cricketers enrolled in their programmes.
As we hear from President of the Barbados Royals Girls Cricket Club, the initiative was done in conjunction with DP World – sponsors of this year’s ICC men’s T20 World Cup.
The initiative was fully endorsed by the Barbados Cricket Association and Secretary Senator Gregory Nicholls advised that what needs to also be included in the programmes is the principle that cricket is a viable profession.
