Classes at St. Luke’s Brighton Primary were suspended early today after complaints of a strong odour.
The odour left some people experiencing burning eyes, itchy throats, itchy skin and a bitter taste in the mouth.
In a release by The Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training states, staff and students were relocated to a nearby car park while officials visited the scene.
After further consultation, it was decided to close the school for the day.’
There will be a further update on the status of operations as reports come to hand.
The Ministry apologises for the inconvenience caused by the disruption and hopes that any discomfort experienced is alleviated.
