Retired Chief Education Officer Ralph Boyce laid to rest

Barbados bade farewell to one of its educators, retired Chief Education Officer Ralph Boyce, who was laid to rest on Friday.

He was remembered for his dedication to country, God, and his family during his funeral service at the Ann Gill Memorial Methodist Church.

Education officials, past and present, along with Members of Parliament, all paid their respects.

Mr. Boyce passed away at the age of 85 years.

He was also the founding president of the Men’s Education Support Association, MESA.

Sister Marcia Graham says her brother was a man of purpose and a brilliant academic.

She says he was a scholar and servant in education.

Reverend Arlette Waterman recognised the late Boyce’s contribution to the Methodist Church, including his volunteerism.
