UWI’s Faculty of Arts and Culture & A&B Music Supplies sign MOU

The faculty of Arts and Culture at the UWI Hill Campus and A and B Music Supplies have signed a memorandum of understanding which will help with the development of music programmes at the campus.

It will see the creation of the Norman Barrow Digital Archive and other elements.

The document was inked by founder and Managing Director Norman Barrow and campus principal Professor Clive Landis.

It’s the culmination of efforts which began in 2020 but were halted due to COVID.

Held at the George Lamming Pedagogical Centre, the archive of live recordings will be there for students to utilise in their studies.

Dean of the Faculty for Culture, Creative and Performing Arts Professor David Akombo explained the MOU.

Mr. Barrow who says he was never fortunate to attend university but became a musician after 5th form, sees it as an honour to gift the campus.
