Barbados’ cruise tourism industry continues to experience significant growth.
Officials are reporting a 23% increase in arrivals from January to November 2024, compared to that same period in 2023.
Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism and International Transport, Francine Blackman, made the announcement as a luxury super yacht made its inaugural visit to the island.
Ms. Blackman adds that officials continue to pay close attention to improving and building out the luxury segment of the cruise industry.
She said this is why Barbados is pleased to welcome the Ilma, the newest super yacht in the prestigious Ritz-Carlton collection featuring 224 suites all with private terraces and a passenger capacity of 448.
