New Year statement by Chair of CARICOM, Prime Minister Mottley

Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley is recommitting to resume the full implementation of the CARICOM Single Market and Economy (CSME) which was paused five years ago due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Prime Minister Mottley stressed that this effort forms part of advancing regional unity and development.

Speaking as the incoming Chairman Of CARICOM, Ms. Mottley, stressed that this is not merely an economic agenda, it is a vision of unity and opportunity for small states.

Ms Mottley says full realization of the CSME, including the free movement of nationals, is essential for unlocking the true potential of our people and economies.
