We Gatherin’ 2025 officially kicks off on January 1

The clarion call ‘Come Long Home’ inviting Barbadians far and wide to return to the island, will take on added significance tomorrow Wednesday, January 1, when We Gatherin’ 2025 officially kicks off.

The first event is an islandwide motorcade to further raise awareness and spread the sense of excitement the year-long celebration is expected to generate.

We Gatherin’ Motorcade will begin at the National Cultural Foundation at 11:00 a.m.
Then travels to:

Israel Lovell Foundation

Oistins Bay Garden

Brathwaite’s Bar at Kirtons, St. Philip

Pool, St. John

Playing field by St. George Parish Church

Bob’s Canteen in St. Joseph

Thirsty Lizard in Bridgefield, St. Thomas

Front road at Haynesville, St. James

Maycocks, St. Lucy and end at the Playing field at North Stars, Crab Hill, St. Lucy

The motorcade moves off at 11:30 a.m.

Well, joining us now to provide some details about the motorcade and the other planned events, is Director of the We Gatherin’ Secretariat Senator John King.
