President of Barbados, Her Excellency, The Most Honourable Dame Sandra Mason, encourages Barbadians to be “instruments of peace in our homes, communities, work and social spaces.”
She stressed that the nation should uphold a peaceful culture in her Christmas Day Message, reminding c that citizens that they should set this example, “so that our children may be exposed to it at an early age”.
Reflecting on the principles of “hope, joy, peace and love” which are prevalent during the Christmas season, Dame Sandra urged Barbadians to be encouraged by the example set by Jesus and to face the new year with the peace that such values can bring.
