The Ministry of Health is encouraging the use of flu shots for vulnerable groups in society.
This comes in light of concerns about the prevalence of infectious diseases with several people complaining about flu, cold and allergy symptoms.
The seasonal influenza vaccine is available at all polyclinics island-wide. However, Chief Medical Officer, Dr. The Most Honourable Kenneth George, tells CBC News while the island administers flu shots it is not on a national level.
Dr. George says giving shots now may not be as advantageous.
