Barbadians have no need to fear at this time, the flu which is impacting the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Health officials say the mystery flu which claimed 143 lives in the Congo is not in Barbados.
Dr. the Most Honourable Kenneth George says Barbados’ surveillance system will capture any anomalies.
He has also made it clear Caribbean health partners are also assisting in the prevention process.
Dr. George says the Ministry of Health will continue to monitor the international situation, because with the movement of people comes the movement of disease.
