Barbados has seen a reduction in agricultural yield due to drought and land degradation.
That’s the word from Minister of the Environment, Adrian Forde.
He says the decline was evident on island between 2000 and present.
Minister Forde’s comments came during the 16th Session of the Conference of Parties of the UN Convention to Combat Desertification or COP16 being held in Saudi Arabia.
