Cricketing fraternity bids farewell to ‘Cover’

The cricketing fraternity today bade farewell to former Cricket administrator of the Barbados Cricket League – Christopher McCollin.

Mccollin, affectionately known as ‘Cover’, was a member of the BCL for more than five decades and was a top fielder in his playing days.

During the service at Mount Tabor Moravian, he was described as a true servant of the game, who worked tirelessly for the BCL in a variety of areas, including the compilation or reporting of scores from the numerous divisions within the league.

Sports Minister Charles Griffith, along with former and present players, as well as officials from the BCAL and BCA, were some of those present at the service of life.

Mccollin was 82 years old at the time of his passing.
