As efforts continue by Barbados and the region to transition to green energy, the Caribbean Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Transition has voiced concern over the state and capacity of electricity grids.
Executive Director Mohammed Rafik Nagdee raised the matter during a COP29 side event organised by the Caribbean Development Bank in Azerbaijan.
Mr. Nagdee stated private sector initiatives are driving countries that are progressing the most in the energy transition.
