Student injured in after-school stabbing

The Ministry of Education is appealing to parents to search their children’s bags for weapons or contraband of any kind on a regular basis. The call has been made following an after-school stabbing of a student at the Graydon Sealy Secondary School today and a similar incident on Tuesday at the Alexandra School. The Ministry in a statement said while the Graydon Sealy student’s injury is not life-threatening, it is at pains to think of how a different outcome could have impacted family, friends, staff, and the student body.
