Help arrives for dairy industry

Help has finally arrived for the struggling dairy industry. Authorities are hoping today’s arrival of 180 heifers in calf will help put local milk back on the shelves and quickly. Anesta Henry has the report.

Project to help advance renewable energy transition

An initiative is underway to drive Barbados’ renewable energy transformation. The Sustainable Management and Resilience Thinking for Our Energy Revolution Project will be implemented for a four year period. The revelation has come from Minister of Energy and Business, Senator Lisa Cummins. Trevor Thorpe reports.

Combermere wins Leacock championship

Reigning BSSAC Champions Combermere have sent a signal of intent ahead of the local 2025 athletics season. The Boys and Girls from Waterford captured the 2024 Dasani-Powerade Rivaldo Leacock Championship today at the Lester Vaughan School. Competing in the seven-school two-day meet, Combermere totalled 476 points to finish ahead of the Lodge School on 446 and Coleridge and Parry 346. The St. Michael School were fourth with 245 points and hosts Lester Vaughan fifth with 241. CBC’s Anmar Goodridge-Boyce reports on some of the action.
