Pan-Africanists dedicated to guiding students

Amid calls for role models to mentor the island’s youth, nine Pan-Africanists have committed to dedicating their time to guide the students of the Grantley Adams Memorial School on the right path. They have taken up the responsibility to go into the school and work with the students through mentorship programmes. They were introduced to the students during the school’s African Awareness Day celebrations. Anesta Henry reports.

Barbados hit with new 10% US trade tariff

Barbados is among scores of nations on which the United States has imposed new trade tariffs. US President Donald Trump, just hours ago, followed through on his threat, revealing broad reciprocal duties on all U.S. trade partners. He announced that all foreign countries would face a baseline 10 % tariff, which has been imposed on Barbados. However, several other nations have been hit with steeper tariffs on imports. Joining us to tell us how this development will impact the Barbadian economy is Minister in the Ministry of Finance, Ryan Straughn.
