Efforts on to protect Barbados Rum brand

The fight to protect the Barbados Rum brand is still on. That’s according to one of the founding partners of the Barbados Rum Experience and Director at the Foursquare Rum Distillery Gayle Seale. She was speaking on day three of the annual week-long education series for the teaching of the history and culture of rum and things rum-related at the Radisson Aquatica Resort Trevor Thorpe was there.

CBB Governor reports significant economic growth

Despite global economic uncertainties and the impact of Hurricane Beryl, Barbados’ economy grew by close to four percent for the first nine months of this year. Confirmation of this from Central Bank Governor, Dr. Kevin Greenidge, during the Bank’s latest review of the country’s economic performance. Sharika Griffith was there and filed this report.

New multi-storey condos coming to Bay Street

A new multi-storey condominium should open in Barbados in time for the 2025 winter tourist season. It’s Fort Carlisle Condominiums at Brownes Beach, Bay Street, St. Michael. Trevor Thorpe was on the construction site today and filed this report.
