Alexandra School closed today

Alexandra School is closed today. This after Chief Education Officer Dr. Ramona Archer-Bradshaw and Acting Deputy Chief Education Officer with Responsibility for Schools Julia Beckles visited the Speightstown, St. Peter school and engaged in dialogue with teachers and staff yesterday. Dr. Archer-Bradshaw says National Diagnostic Assessments scheduled today for some of the students will be rescheduled.

UWI & Kickstart Rush advance to PM’s Cup Round of 16

UWI Blackbirds and Kickstart Rush marched into the Round of 16 of the Prime Minister’s Cup football competition with big victories last night. Playing at Friendship, the Blackbirds put nine unanswered goals past Pinelands, while Kickstart Rush blanked Barbados Soccer Academy five-nil. CBC’s Anmar Goodridge-Boyce reports.
