CDEMA launches new building standard

With billions of dollars in housing lost to disasters in the region over the years, a new building standard from the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency was launched today. The ‘Build Safe Constructing Homes for Tomorrow’ brought a number of players together to develop and implement the standards as well as training programmes which certify contractors.

Team Barbados gearing up for CAC championships

Team Barbados will be among 25 nations set to compete at this year’s Central American and Caribbean Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships at the National Cultural Centre in Guyana. CBC Sports caught up with members of the squad during a recent training session, as they gear up for the event. Anmar Goodridge-Boyce reports.
