BMA inviting international buyers to TIE

International standards, technology and export potential will rank high on the agenda of the Barbados Manufacturers Association Trade and Innovation EXPO next year. Business-to-business talks should set the tone for the highly anticipated event executive director of the Barbados Manufacturers Association Shardae Boyce says it is a family event and the BMA is in the process of inviting several international buyers in a bid to increase export opportunities. Overseas promotion has started in the run-up to next year’s expo.

T&T: Two killed outside a pre-school

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, CMC – Two brothers were shot and killed outside a childcare learning centre in Morvant, east of here on Monday. Police said that gunmen had been awaiting outside the Roxann’s Learning and Childcare Centre, shooting indiscriminately, resulting in the death of Gerald Caliste at the scene and his brother  Kemo Caliste, who later died at hospital. Police said that a four-year-old boy, Dimitri Berkley, said to be the child of a female police officer, was also injured as well as Adina Jackson, 48, and Joseph Coulen. Police said that Gerald Caliste  was the target of the shooting and that the attack has been connected to the ongoing gang war across Port of Spain.
