There is still a great interest in horticulture.  So says the President of the Barbados Horticultural Society, Jennifer Weetch, during their launch of the annual show.  Rachelle Agard has that story.

Local church Mount Zion Ministries in Rock Dundo has promised to join the fight against crime and violence with a strategy to make a difference. Apostle Dr Lucille Baird made the announcement during a special service held as part of the church’s 30th anniversary celebrations. She says they intend to visit at-risk communities and have conversations with residents about doing the right thing and walking in the presence of God. Dr Baird noted that they have visited at-risk communities before and that they will return between February and March. During the service, a special plaque was unveiled in Dr. Baird’s honour for her work with the church.
