Students urged to practice good qualities

Member of Parliament for St. Peter Colin Jordan is urging students to practice the good qualities which led to former Prime Minister Professor the Right Honourable Owen Arthur assuming leadership of the country for 14 years. The Minister of Labour, Social Security and Third Sector told students at All Saints Primary School if they want to become as successful as Mr. Arthur was, they must value their education, read, and practice being punctual and prepared. He was speaking to the students of the primary school, which Mr. Arthur attended, as part of the ‘Some Heroes of St. Peter’ activity of the parish’s We Gatherin’ 2025 celebrations. Meanwhile, students of Coleridge & Parry School heard about the life of old scholar Rufus Theophilus Brome, who had a trailblazing career as a cleric, serving as the first black Barbadian Bishop. Head of the school’s General Studies Department, Achirri Adams told the students that like Bishop Brome who came from humble beginnings, education can change their lives.
