Barbados encouraged to develop AI policies in line with CXC’s

As the Caribbean Examinations Council works on developing an artificial intelligence policy, Barbados and the region have been encouraged to develop their own in line with CXC’s. Director of Operations, Dr. Nicole Manning says CXC’s policy is to be rolled out this year. The announcement came as she participated in a webinar organised by the Jamaica Tertiary Education Commission. Her topic, “Transforming Assessment and Qualifications for Placement in Higher Education: Current Issues and Best Practices”. Dr. Manning says AI will play an important part in teaching and learning. She also notes CXC will be establishing standards and guidelines for the use of AI in assessment.
