Misalignment between education system & economic growth

There is a misalignment between Barbados’ education system, the needs of the international and local business sectors, and where the economy needs to grow. This is according to Minister of Economic Affairs and Investment Senator Chad Blackman. He was speaking at the start of this year’s Global Business Week titled, ‘Focussing on Innovation for a Sustainable Future.’

Best-Hinkson & Browne-Agard in police custody

Two St. Michael men who were the subjects of a “Wanted Man” bulletin issued on Thursday, October 24, 2024, are now in police custody. 18-year-old Ramario Rashawn Best-Hinkson of Green Park Lane, Baxter’s Road, St. Michael, and 29-year-old Sergio Delacey Browne-Agard of No 28 Lascelles Terrace, Pine Lands, St. Michael, were wanted in connection with serious criminal matters. Both men presented themselves to the District ‘A’ Police Station and are currently assisting police with their investigations. The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) thanks the public and media for their assistance in this matter.

Missing: Kizzianne Latavia Tudor

The Barbados Police Service is seeking the public’s help in locating a missing 17-year-old girl. She is Kizzianne Latavia Tudor a ward of the Marina Brewster Centre in Farrs, Alleynedale Hall, St. Peter. Kizzianne was last seen at about 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 24, 2024, wearing a Barbados Youth Advance Corps uniform. She has a light brown complexion, is 5 feet 5 inches (5′ 5″) tall and has black straightened hair. Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Kizzianne Tudor is asked to contact the District ‘E’ Police Station at 419-1730, Police Emergency at 211, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIPS (8477), or any police station.
